What is the difference between "Archive" and "Close" for a Redmine project?
For a Redmine project, "Archive" hides the project, and "Close" makes it read-only.
When you archive a Redmine project, it no longer appears on the project list page or in the project selector, and you can no longer view or update it.
When you close a Redmine project, you can still view its information, but you can no longer update it. If you close a completed project, you prevent the mistake of creating a new issue in it.
| Feature | View information in the project | Update information in the project |
|---|---|---|
| Archive | No | No |
| Close | Yes | No |
