List of keyboard shortcuts available in Redmine

The following keyboard shortcuts are available as a standard feature of Redmine.
Note that the available shortcuts and the keys to press depend on the OS and the browser.

Windows

Page operations

Action Chrome, Edge Firefox
Go to the New issue page Alt + 7 Alt + Shift + 7
Switch between the "Edit" and "Preview" tabs Ctrl + Shift + P -
Submit an input form of an issue, a wiki page, and so on Ctrl + Enter Ctrl + Enter
Go to the edit page (issue, wiki, document, news) Alt + Shift + e Alt + Shift + e
Move to the search box Alt + Shift + f Alt + Shift + f
Go to the Search page Alt + 4 Alt + Shift + 4
Go to the next item. Available in the following places.

Font style

Action Keys
Make the selected text bold Ctrl + B
Make the selected text italic Ctrl + I
Underline the selected text. Note: Available when "Text formatting" (Administration → Settings → General) is Textile. Ctrl + U

You can check the font style shortcuts by placing the mouse pointer on an icon in the toolbar.

Font style
