Target version
In Redmine, the Target version is one of the fields that make up an issue.
It indicates which version the issue is associated with.
A version typically represents the release version in which the feature or fix tracked by the issue will be delivered—especially in software development projects.
In non-software projects, a version can represent a project phase or a milestone.

When you set a target version for an issue, you can review:
- The list of issues linked to that version
- Their completion status
on the Roadmap screen.
This allows you to organize issues by release version, project phase, or milestone, making it easier to understand which work should be prioritized.
For more details about versions, see Version.
