Priority

Priority is one of the standard fields used to indicate how urgently an issue should be completed.
By default, Redmine provides the following priority levels:

  • Low
  • Normal
  • High
  • Urgent
  • Immediate

These values help teams decide which issues should be handled first.


Adding, Editing, or Deleting Priorities

Users with administrator permissions can add, edit, or delete priority values from:

Administration → Enumerations


Color-Coded Priorities in Themes

Some Redmine themes provide color-coded highlighting in the issue list based on the priority assigned to each issue. This makes it easier to visually identify high-priority issues at a glance.

The example below shows how priorities are highlighted when using the Farend Basic theme:
