Files
The Files feature allows you to publish downloadable software packages—such as ZIP archives or tarballs—organized by version.
For each file, information such as the number of downloads and the checksum (MD5) is displayed.
This feature is primarily intended for distributing files over the internet.
It is useful, for example, when running the official website of an open-source software project on Redmine and providing a download page for releases.
In most other use cases, however, this feature may not be particularly useful.
If the feature is not needed, it can be disabled from the Modules tab on the project Settings screen.
