【Monthly Update】Preview of the New Features in Pre-release Redmine! Making the Issue History Tab Easier to Read (July 2025 Commit Highlights)
I introduce the new features that have been committed in the official Redmine repository and will be included in the upcoming release. Let's preview the upcoming features that will make Redmine even more useful.
This month, I'll highlight the issue about the issue history tab committed in July 2025.
What is Redmine?
Redmine is an open source project management software. It can be freely installed on self-hosted servers or used via cloud services. For more information about Redmine, visit official site.
Making the Issue History Tab Easier to Read
The issue history tab is getting an update.
Right now, every update in the history has a line under its heading. When an issue has many updates, all those lines make it look cluttered and hard to read.
In Redmine 6.1, they will be replaced by a background color for each entry. This change will make the history much easier to follow, even when there's a lot of activity.
- Expected version: Redmine 6.1.0
- Official site issue: Feature #40744: Refresh history tabs look and feel
